Research interests:

I am broadly interested in the evolution and development of arachnids, with emphasis on the understudied order Uropygi (vinegaroons), whose developmental biology has not been studied since 1955!

As a graduate student, I am focusing on the evolution and homology of arachnid-specific leg segments, with the goal of understanding how appendages are modified on phylogenetic time scales.
